The Hess Family Reunion 2007
Back to Camp Yeager • 2007
At the request of the family matriarch Rose Hess, (see related article:http://www.fresnobee.com/190/v-printerfriendly/story/11475.html) the Hess family will reconvene at the fabled Camp Yeager (formerly Camp Pinecrest, for ye of olde schoole).
Speaking from personal experience as a ten year old wandering through walk-in boxes full of turkeys, dressing, pies and Cool Whip, this is a special and unique opportunity for Rose's youngest generation of descendants to get the full impact of the family in a series of meals and social interactions they can experience in no other setting.
NO CAMPERS, RVs, Trailers, Camping -
A new rule for the camp is that you must stay in the cabins - your other choice is a local hotel. Not having "the internet" is not an excuse, so plan on a cabin or get to Expedia or Priceline for a good room price asap.
Fees
The camp rents for $500 a day and we need to supply all of the food. Betty and Judy are hoping that the cost for the weekend will be about $50 per adult, less for kids. Or about the same price as a movie for four, 640 ounces of soda and 3 gallons of popcorn. Quite a deal.
